WIOA Cancellation, Termination, and Refund Policy

Policy Statement

Code Differently is committed to fair and transparent practices regarding program cancellation, participant withdrawal, and tuition refunds. This policy aligns with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), Delaware state regulations, and applicable funding requirements.

Program Cancellation

In the event that Code Differently cancels a training program, all tuition and fees collected will be refunded in full to the participant or the appropriate funding source. Code Differently is not responsible for any costs incurred by participants related to travel, lodging, or other personal expenses.

Participant Cancellation

Participants may cancel their enrollment agreement within three (3) business days of signing, provided that training has not yet begun. In such cases, a full refund of all monies paid will be issued.

Termination After Program Start

Participants who wish to withdraw after the program has begun must submit written notice to the Managing Director or Employment Manager via email or mail.

Refunds for participants who withdraw after the start of training will be calculated based on the percentage of the program completed, measured in clock hours, as follows:

  • 0.01% – 4.9% completed: 80% of remaining tuition refunded
  • 5% – 9.9% completed: 70% refunded
  • 10% – 14.9% completed: 60% refunded
  • 15% – 24.9% completed: 55% refunded
  • 25% – 49.9% completed: 30% refunded
  • 50% or more completed: No refund; full tuition is considered earned

An administrative fee of up to $100 may be retained for programs of 12 months or less, where permitted.

Refund Processing

All refunds will be processed within thirty (30) calendar days of the effective date of termination or withdrawal.
