Training Cancellation, Withdrawal, and Return Policy
Policy Statement
Code Differently is committed to maintaining fair and transparent practices regarding course cancellations, participant withdrawals, and tuition refunds. If you are a WIOA-funded participant, please refer to the WIOA Funded Return Policy.
Certain courses, products, and services may be subject to additional terms based on the course format, third-party certification requirements, or applicable funding requirements.
1. Cancellation by Code Differently
If Code Differently cancels a course or training program, all tuition and required fees paid directly to Code Differently for the canceled course will be refunded in full to the purchaser or, when applicable, to the original funding source.
Code Differently is not responsible for travel, lodging, childcare, lost wages, technology purchases, or other personal expenses incurred by a purchaser or participant in connection with the canceled course.
2. Courses That Include Exam Vouchers
Courses, packages, or training programs that include an exam voucher are nonrefundable and may not be returned, canceled, transferred, refunded, or exchanged after purchase.
This restriction applies whether or not the participant:
Accesses or completes the training;
Redeems the exam voucher;
Schedules or takes the certification examination; or
Uses an included exam retake.
Exam vouchers, including any included retake vouchers, are generally valid for 12 months from the date of purchase unless a different expiration period is stated at the time of purchase.
Participants are responsible for registering for and completing the examination, including any eligible retake, before the applicable voucher expiration date. Voucher expiration dates cannot be extended by Code Differently.
3. Self-Paced Digital Courses Without Exam Vouchers
A self-paced digital course that does not include an exam voucher may be eligible for a refund when all of the following conditions are met:
The refund request is submitted within 10 business days of the purchase date;
The digital access key, license, or activation code has not been redeemed or activated;
The participant has not accessed, downloaded, or substantially used the course materials; and
The refund request is approved by Code Differently.
Once a digital access key, license, or activation code has been redeemed or activated, the course is nonrefundable and may not be returned or exchanged.
4. Instructor-Led Training Courses
A purchaser or participant may cancel enrollment in an instructor-led training course by submitting a written cancellation request at least 10 business days before the scheduled course start date.
Approved cancellation requests received at least 10 business days before the course begins will receive a full refund of tuition and eligible fees paid directly to Code Differently.
Cancellation requests received fewer than 10 business days before the scheduled course start date are nonrefundable and may not be exchanged or transferred, except when otherwise approved by Code Differently in writing.
Failure to attend a scheduled course, commonly referred to as a “no-show,” does not qualify the purchaser or participant for a refund.
5. Withdrawal After a Course Begins
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a separate written agreement, participants who withdraw after accessing a digital course or after an instructor-led course has begun are not eligible for a refund.
6. Refund Requests
All cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing to:
training@codedifferently.com
The request should include:
The purchaser’s name;
The participant’s name, if different;
The course or program name;
The purchase date;
The order or transaction number, if available; and
The reason for the request.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a refund will be approved.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method or original funding source within 10 business days after Code Differently approves the request.
Processing times may vary based on the receipt of all required refund request information, purchaser’s bank, credit card provider, payment processor, or funding source.
8. Third-Party Products and Services
Certification exams, exam vouchers, software licenses, digital platforms, books, equipment, and other third-party products may be governed by the terms and refund policies of the applicable third-party provider.
When a third-party product has been issued, activated, redeemed, or assigned to a participant, its cost may be nonrefundable even when another portion of the course is eligible for a refund.
9. Policy Changes
Code Differently reserves the right to modify this policy at any time. The policy in effect on the date of purchase will generally apply to that purchase unless a change is required by law or is more favorable to the purchaser.
